Now in its 9th year, Doing Good and Doing Well, Europe’s largest student-run conference on Responsible Business, will bring together over 100 professionals to discuss the most critical issues around “Achieving Sustainability in Business and Society”. This year’s Panel Discussions will be organized around four tracks:
- Innovation: The way to achieve sustainability
- Growth: A precondition for sustainability
- Collaboration: A new way of interaction for sustainability
- Impact: How we measure sustainability
DGDW 2012 will welcome four Keynote Speakers who will share their personal insights on responsible business and other issues affecting our society. The Keynote Speakers cover a diversity of backgrounds including Academics, key representatives from Corporations, members of NGOs and International Organizations, as well as Civil Society. In the past we have had the pleasure of welcoming such diverse speakers as Professor Muhammad Yunus (Grameen Bank), Lord Michael Hastings (KPMG), Maurice van Sabben (National Geographic) and many more. This year’s Keynote Speakers promise to cover diverse topics affecting students and professionals across sectors and geographies.
Cleantech Venture ForumBuilding on the success of 2011’s Conference, DGDW 2012 will also include a Cleantech Venture Seminar, featuring new start-up organizations in the field and representatives from the investment community.
Social Investment CompetitionThis year, the Conference will launch the 1st Social Investment Competition (SIC), combining elements from the Social Entrepreneurship Workshop and the Case Competition held last year. The SIC will bring together students from top MBA programs around the world, socially minded entrepreneurs and social investors in an all-day event. The students and entrepreneurs will work together to go through the entire investment process in an extremely condensed time period while being judged and moderated by the investors.
Career Forum
Forming an integral part of the conference, the Career Forum & Networking event gives opportunities for professionals and students alike to network and learn more about careers in this rapidly growing space. Last year, the event saw representation from over 25 organizations, and helped provide links to many more!
Sustainability FairNew for 2012, we will be hosting a Sustainability Fair in line with the conference theme. The fair will showcase successful or growing business and ventures in the field of sustainability, providing a dynamic and interactive platform to benefit conference participants and presenters alike.
